Short, and taken seriously. It is part of the membership terms.
Draft for review. The rules themselves are yours to set; the parts worth a lawyer's eye are the reporting procedure and the exclusion process, since ending a membership without refund has to be proportionate and fair. Items in [square brackets] need confirming.
What members tell each other at a dinner stays there. Do not repeat someone's news, share a screenshot of the group, or pass on another member's contact details without asking her first. Several of us have jobs where being talked about has consequences.
Ask before you take a photograph of another member, and ask again before you post it. Some members have agreed to appear on our channels and some have not, and you cannot tell which by looking. If someone asks you to take a photo down, take it down without a discussion.
We follow the same rule ourselves: we only use images of members who have given us that permission separately, and any member can withdraw it at any time.
Places are limited and most events are paid for in advance. If you cannot make it, cancel from your profile so someone else can take your place. Cancelling late is not refundable, and that is why.
Aura is not a networking floor. Do not pitch other members, add them to a mailing list, or recruit them for your business or your MLM. Talking about your work is welcome; using the room as a lead list is not.
You may bring a guest to events marked as open to guests. She is your responsibility while she is there, and this code applies to her too.
No harassment, no discrimination on any ground, no comments about anyone's body, no pressure about drinking, and no touching people who have not invited it. Aura is a women's club and it should feel like the safest room of the week.
Some events serve wine. Drink what you want to drink and nothing more; no one here will pass you a glass twice. If you are driving, we will always have something else to offer you. Hosts may decline to serve alcohol to anyone who has clearly had enough, and may ask her to go home safely.
Tell the instructor about an injury or condition before the session starts, not halfway through. Follow the safety instructions you are given. Stop if something hurts. Nobody at Aura is impressed by pushing through an injury.
Tell us. Email hello@aura.club, or say it to Isil or Céline at any event. You can ask us to keep your name out of it, and we will tell you what we intend to do before we do it.
Serious reports are handled by the founders directly. We will hear from everyone involved, decide within [number] days, and tell you the outcome. Depending on what happened, that might be a conversation, a warning, being kept apart at events, or membership ending.
If something happens that is a criminal matter, we will support you in going to the police and we will not stand in the way of that.
We can end a membership immediately, without refunding the current month, for harassment, threats, discrimination, breaking someone's confidence, photographing someone against her wishes, or anything that puts a member at risk. Where it is proportionate we will speak to you first and give you a chance to respond. See section 10 of the membership terms.
